Park Avenue Scandals:
Prince of Midtown
Silhouette Desire, September 2008

I’ve written a book for the Silhouette Desire series Park Avenue Scandals, about the lives and loves of the residents in a ritzy Manhattan apartment building. My story, Prince of Midtown, features Sebastian Stone, the ebullient and charismatic Crown Prince of Caspia and his down-to-earth American assistant, Tessa Banks.

Tessa has had it with Manhattan-style glitz and glamor and wants to move somewhere she can settle down and have a family. Being around her gorgeous and charming boss all day is the last thing Tessa needs in her quest for a normal life. Still, she agrees to fulfill her two weeks notice and help him prepare a meeting in Caspia. Her worst fears are realized as their relationship turns shockingly unprofessional and she falls hard in love with Sebastian—and his country.

Sebastian has an international reputation as a hard-partying playboy. It’s naturally assumed that he will marry a girl of noble blood—not a girl from a blue collar background who made her way through school on a sports scholarship. But Tessa Banks is having a very intoxicating effect on him...

I enjoyed creating the Mediterranean nation of Caspia, which is now so vivid in my mind I could book a flight there. I think first I’ll go for a gondola ride along the quays lined with designer shops, then take a dip in the warm waters of the ancient harbor. Or should I ride up into the mountains that look down over the meadows and orchards and red tiled roofs, all the way to the ocean glittering in the late afternoon sun? Decisions, decisions. I do enjoy having an active imagination.
